The Pope Takes The Mound.

Pass the bourbon -- Hillary and Obama are pelting PA voters tonight with robocalls about who loves guns more, and elsewhere Tony Snow has joined CNN as a commentator. When will our long, national nightmare be over?

The height of irony -- Nepal authorizes its troops to open fire on unarmed protesters who may disrupt the Olympic torch procession. Related to all the hubbub about China hosting the games with their human rights record, I kind of liked the suggestion that we simplify the process and have the Olympics every four years in, you know, Greece.

A lesson in consolidating your resources -- Here's a YouTube video of a guy opening a bottle of beer with a piece of paper.

While it's fairly obvious that I'm not going to agree with the Catholic Church on at least a couple of very fundamental issues, I do believe in giving credit where it's due. So, I'd like you to notice that the two times the Pope gave Mass during his visit here, he didn't use indoor arenas, or soccer fields, or football stadiums. No, he used dedicated BASEBALL STADIUMS. That's because the Pontiff and I agree that any god that may or may not exist would obviously love baseball more than all other sports.

If people you don't know are strangers, then that leaves your acquaintances as what, merely strange?
